Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information GBP SEO Tools ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use gbpseotools.com (the "Site"), and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
Business search data. When you search for a business to audit, the business name and location you enter are sent to the Google Places API to retrieve public listing data (name, address, phone number, category, rating, review count, etc.). We do not require you to create an account or provide your own personal information to run a basic audit.
Payment information. If you purchase a paid report, payment is processed entirely by Paddle. We do not receive or store your card details. We may receive limited order information (such as your email address and order ID) from Paddle to confirm your purchase.
Locally stored data. The Site uses your browser's local storage to remember which businesses you've unlocked and to cache generated reports, so you don't pay twice or lose a report by closing the page. This data stays in your browser and is not stored in a database on our end.
Technical data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security and reliability purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate the SEO audit report you request
- To process payments and deliver purchased reports
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site
- To respond to support requests sent to our contact email
We do not sell your information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
The Site relies on the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Google (Places API): used to look up business listing data and generate your audit report
- Paddle: used to process payments and handle tax compliance
- Vercel: used to host the Site
- Google Analytics: used to understand site traffic and usage, only after you consent via the cookie banner
- Meta Pixel: used to measure and improve our advertising, only after you consent via the cookie banner
We encourage you to review each provider's own privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We do not currently operate a backend database of user accounts or search history. Business data submitted for an audit is processed to generate your report and is not separately retained by us beyond what is needed to generate that report and, where applicable, our own operational logs.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses browser local storage (not a tracking cookie) to remember unlocked reports on your device, and a separate local storage entry to remember your cookie preference itself. Our payment processor and hosting provider may set their own cookies as part of their standard operation.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to understand traffic and measure advertising. These do not load or set any cookies until you click "Allow." If you click "Decline," neither script loads and no analytics or advertising cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the banner again.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Since we don't maintain user accounts or a persistent database of your personal data, most of your data lives in your own browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. For anything else, contact us at gbpseotools@gmail.com.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business owners and marketers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
